Seek a second opinio: A second opinion from a Thyroid specialist(endocrinologist) will help and guide you better. I personally do not favor radioactive iodine unless the tumor was advanced or spread outside of the Thyroid gland which it does not appear to be. Check ups at 6 monthly intervals should be sufficient.
