It varies: If longer than 5 days, see your dentist. It may be high in the bite which a small, polishing adjustment will cure the sensitivity. It may be a problem with the pulp and need root canal. There may be a problem if leakage between the tooth and filling. Root sensitivity can also be a problem with several treatment options.

Depends: Some sensitivity after filling is due to irritation to the nerve, after few days subsides. Others is because the bite after filling placement is too high & needs adjustment or balancing. After adjustment sensitivity goes down after 2 to 3 days. And if the sensitivity does not go away after 1 week and the quality of pain changes to constant, spontaneous, and to hot temperature might need root canal.

Varies: Most often, there is little or no sensitivity. All depends on the cause. If the decay was deep and the nerve irritated, it may take longer - days to a week. If it does not subside in 5 - 7 days, see your dentist. If the bite feels of or high see the dentist right away. May also be sign of root sensitivity or inability of nerve to heal after the trauma of the decay and filling.
