More info needed...: How deep was the filling? Continuous pain or intermittent? Sensitivity to cold and sweets or to pressure? Does your bite feel even or does that tooth feel a bit high? Answers to these questions would help form a meaningful answer. Your dentist is best prepared to evaluate the tooth and alleviate your concerns. Please call them.

Sensitivity: You had surgery (filling) a week ago. Will take time to heal. The deeper the cavity, the more extensive the surgery. You should be feeling a little better every day. If not, return to the Dentist to make sure the filling is not microscopically "high," that the filling is intact, that there are no signs of fracture or infection, and that the nerve of the tooth is healing properly.
