See your dentist.: Blood in your saliva could mean many different things. You should make an appointment to see your dentist as soon as possible.

Gums bleeding: Do your gums bleed when you brush? Are you flossing? When is the last time you had a professional cleaning by a dentist or hygienist? Most likely this is from a lack of good oral hygiene practices. Have a dentist evaluate your periodontal status. Smoking compounds a periodontal problem. If your eye was bleeding, wouldn't you go to the doctor? Your gums should not bleed either.
