You say you have had acid reflux and that means GERD (GastroEosphageal Reflux Disease). If you have this condition, usually your distal esophagus (the food section which connect to the stomach) could be chronically inflamed (esophagitis) and when you retch too much, the inflamed mucosa can break and cause blood in the vomitus. You should see a doctor for taking care the reflux esophagitis.

Yes, it is apparent that you have acid reflux, which sounds to be exacerbated by your diet and your habits. Stopping beer and cutting out foods which bring on the symptoms would be a good start. Small meals, avoiding tomatoes, onions, and citrus, and possibly tilting the bed can be useful. Using Tum him and him s or Mylanta for heartburn is a good idea initially. See your doctor if this persists.
