Consultation time: Your optometrist may be on to something or not. Either way an evaluation by an ophthalmologist with plenty of experience with kids or a pediatric ophthalmologist would be appropriate.

Narrow angles: It is quite uncommon for children to have issues with narrow anterior chamber angles. I would recommend that you get a second opinion from an ophthalmologist before proceeding with any laser treatment.
