You need to ask a ??: I am sorry for your confusion & pain..You don't ask a specific ?. It is not uncommon for newborns with a stressful birth to remain in the hospital at least 10 days if not more. Once they demonstrate normal feeding ability, finish antibiotics if started & balance their metabolism they are usually ready for discharge.For those that make it past the first few days, outlook is generally good.
