I have been going for a routine abdomen ultrasound for years now for a gall bladder polyp. for the first time, radiologist noted an accessory spleen. what does this mean? thank you?

Accessary spleen means you have some splenic tissue in addition to the normal organ. If asymptomatic -needs only observation

An accessory spleen is extra splenic tissue which is located elsewhere, not just in the spleen. It is usually asymptomatic and you do not usually know that it is there unless it is found by an ultrasound. It is of no concern. Good luck.
