AAA: Aneurysms should be followed closely by your vascular surgeon. The fact that there is swelling may or may not be related but it should be ruled out immediately. Call your vascular surgeon and get it checked.

AAA/ankle swelling: While a large aneurysm could lean on the big vein that lays right next to it (vena cava), impairing blood flow out of the legs and causing swelling...This usually does not occur. So...Usually the two conditions are not related to each other.
