Yes: A fib with rapid ventricular response, or a fast and irregular beat may always result in bilateral leg edema or swelling. Diuretics and adjusting heart meds are usually needed and having it addressed promptly with your cardiologist would be strongly recommended. Other conditions causing your symptoms cannot be ruled out.

Atrial fibrillation : It is not uncommon for patients having leg edema with atrial fibrillation. There also may be reasons your having leg edema that predisposes to acquiring atrial fibrillation .. Also medications may predispose to leg edema. Need to discuss with your cardiologist.
