Unlikely...but...: Tobacco smoke contains over 4, 000 different chemical compounds, only one of which, nicotine, is a psychoactive drug with powerfully addicting properties. No one knows what all those other chemicals do, alone, or in combination with whatever else is floating about in your body. One is carbon monoxide- a poison! an allergy to any of them could, possibly, contribute to a loss of consciousness...

Oxygen is Key: Smoking lowers the oxygen content in the blood. A deep breath of smoke could potentially lower the oxygen enough to make you dizzy and pass out.
