Can a medical and clinical laboratory technologist become a pathologist?

Yes: A technologist can become a pathologist if he/she goes to medical school, gets a medical degree, passes the medical boards and then does a pathology residency training program and takes pathology board exams. So, the answer is yes, but it is generally a lot of schooling between technologist and physician.

Yes: Medical technologists may become pathologists. It would require medical school and residency training.

Pathologist: A Pathologist is an M.D. So you would have to have all the pre-med requirements, go to medical school, and complete a residency in pathology. Medical and clinical laboratory technologists know a lot about clinical pathology, but the requirements to actually be a pathologist are completely different.
