A member asked:

Could you please advise about exact medical laboratory term for homo-cysteine with methionine loading test? thank you.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See the link: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16957558 homocysteine is measured after methionine loading. This has been a controversial test for two decades; the claim is that it reveals an additional coronary risk factor, though what is to be done about this isn't clear at least to me. Others may have ideas to share. http://vmj.sagepub.com/content/7/1/29.full.pdf (recommends "research only").
