A member asked:

Swollen leg and ankle a week after knee injury but mostly went down overnight with ibuprofen and elevation is it still a concern? course of treatment?

Probably not: During the knee injury, the knee probably swelled with extra fluid and blood. That fluid likely gravitated downwards over time, but elevating it allowed the fluid to drain out. Of course the knee needs to be dealt with, but as long as the swelling doesn't return you should be fine.

Still concern: Continue compression, elevation and Ibuprofen but consider seeing a doctor if pain is an issue.
