If my 81 year old mother had a bad flu, now her skin is yellow, would it be that the liver is affected?

Other causes +: Considering her age , and the diagnosis of flu , why was it considerd as flu.Need to know how long she appears yellow, how long she had fever, what medications she got, any chills along with fever there as likely biliary sepsis/biliary tract cancers with secondary infection causing fever is there, whether liver enzymes and pancreas enzymes were tested in addn. To usual tests, and viral hepatitis panel.

Probably: Flu-like symptoms can be seen with a variety of viruses, and other causes. Flu-like symptoms followed by yellow skin (and eyes?) is jaundice;, generally a sign of liver disease or blockage of bile ducts. Either way mom needs to be seen by a doc asap.
