Post-viral bronchiti: Most likely this is post-viral bronchitis which is just what it says--bronchitis (inflammation of the large breathing tubes of the lungs after a viral infection has damaged the lining of the tubes. It resolves slowly without treatment, but the cough may be very bothersome. If so, see your health care provider. For now, increase fluids (extra 8 oz with every meal at least) and use nose drops.
