Can surgery relieve pain caused by jaw?

Probably: It depends on what you mean. Is the pain in the lower or upper jaw? Is it in the jaw joint or the body of the jaw or the chin? Is it near the teeth? It could be a dental or sinus problem. Surgery may be helpful or even indicated but there's just not enough information to be able to give you a meaningful answer.
