Nerve and scar: The plate lies in the skull and the scalp overgrown this. Scalp had a network of nerves and it sounds like you developed a scar, causing stretch to one of the nerves. Please see your surgeon to determine if this is the problem. A pain doc can inject the painful area, perhaps break the scar, and help,resolve the issue. Good luck
