Things to ponder: This vaccine like many others can be given to almost anyone at almost any time. However, one must understand the limitations of any vaccine. This "pneumonia shot" does not prevent all pneumonias. It allows a person to develop antibodies that help avoid or lessen the intensity of a few types of pneumonia, but does nothing for other types. It is suggested > 50 since their systems are often weaker
