Many: There are many autoimmune diseases linked to uveitis. Among them are rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, sarcoidosis, bechet's disease, reiter syndrome and crohn's disease. There are also infectious causes. If you have uveitis you should be under the care of an eye doctor. Your doctor will let you know if additional testing is necessary.

Iritis: Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, lyme disease, syphilis, hla-b27 disease, trauma, herpes, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, toxoplasmosis, and many other issues may cause iritis. In many cases, no cause is found. You should be evaluated by an eye doctor.
