A member asked:

I have been diagnosed with iritis and gastroparesis. gastric symptoms started in october and i developed iritis the ending of last year. labs came back normal for autoimmune disorders. could these issues be related and should i seek a second opinion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Suspect relationship: At age 28, iritis and gastroparesis are both unusual and likely to be caused by an underlying disorder. Cannot at this point pin down precise diagnosis based upon just the provided data, but clearly, would endorse more thorough evaluation. A second opinion is clearly warranted, and perhaps get this done at one of the excellent medical schools in your state.
