Autoimmune!: Usually a manifestation of spondylitis. Can cause glaucoma of the anterior chamber. Care should be coordinated by rheumatology and eye doc.

I have been diagnosed with iritis and gastroparesis. Gastric symptoms started in October and I developed iritis the ending of last year. Labs came back normal for autoimmune disorders. Could these issues be related and should I seek a second opinion?

Is it normal for a 17yo to have iritis? I'm worried that I have an autoimmune disease as well because the iritis has affected both my eyes.
Chronic idiopathic/autoimmune uveitis can cause permanent blindness. But does acute uveitis/iritis from injury also cause irreversible blindness? Can traumatic uveitis recover on its own in majority cases if steroid or nsaid drops are not used?
