Is it normal for a 17yo to have iritis? i'm worried that i have an autoimmune disease as well because the iritis has affected both my eyes.

No: Get checked out by an ophthalmologist. If you do have recurrent iritis or other findings, then they may refer you to a uveitis specialist, or you may have a workup to rule out things like juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, crohn's disease, hla b27 disease, etc.

Not normal : You need to see an eye doctor for further evaluation. The bilateral nature of your disease is concerning and needs prompt evaluation and treatment.

Not normal: Many autoimmune diseases can present with iritis or uveitis. An ophthalmologist will help in the diagnostic process, but a pediatric rheumatologist should be involved for a thorough diagnostic and treatment plan.
