A member asked:

Hi! can we possibly look at replacing clonidine with melatonin? my son takes lexapro (escitalopram) due to anxiety and is on the autism spectrum...

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Work with doctor: Clonidine and Melatonin are very different drugs, not interchangeable. You need to speak to his doctor about your specific concerns. The doctor may be giving him a particular regiment for a particular reason. Do not play with the medications without involving the supervising doctor.
