I tested hiv positive in 2009 and i was on arv's. does this mean my husband is also positive?

Not necessarily: Most of my married heterosexual patients who are HIV infected have a non infected spouse but your husband should be tested. You were on antiretrovirals? If it is "were", it is not good that you are off and you should seek medical care to see what your viral load and CD4 count are.

Agree with Dr. L: If you were on effective treatment before you started having sex with your husband, it is a good chance that he is negative, but he should get tested and so should any child you have.
