More info needed: What is a "splash injury"? Exposure to blood? If other body fluid, say which. Exposure of skin, eyes, mouth, or elsewhere? Also must know patient's status: on ARVs? Viral load? Probably little risk, but check with infectious dis/HIV expert at institution where this happened. If in doubt, there is no harm in starting post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) with ARVs, can stop if no need. Good luck!
