A member asked:

Can i deliver my baby normally if i'm hiv positive and taking arv's?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV Pregnancy: In women who's HIV level is less than 1000 copies/ml and taking ART, the liklihood of HIV transmission is low no matter what the route of delivery and a vaginal delivery can be attempted. If the HIV level is greater than 1000 copies/ml then you should be offered a cesarean at 38 weeks prior to laboring or your water breaking.
