Not dependent on HIV: Whether a person is on chronic medication or not is not dependent on HIV or whatever disease the person has. Chronic medication just means a person takes medication chronically, and the definition has nothing to do with the type of medication or the type of disease. We usually call it chronic medication if there is no end in sight within the next 3-6 months, or thereabouts.
