Serious: I would find out why he refuses, and encourage him to get help needed to keep things from getting worse. He has a right to refuse unless he is suicidal, but usually people refuse based on fear that can be addressed. If you have trouble convincing him, ask a professional to help talk to him. Maggots feed off of dead tissue, which is often life threatening.

Can you be clearer: I am not sure i understand. Was he on the hospital floor or at home? Maggots may be used in the hospital setting in the critically ill patients. If on the other hand he has them while he was at home, he needs to be at least evaluated by a doctor, since this may lead to further infection and loss of life. Call a doctor for an evaluation and get your answers from that source. Good luck.
