ILD- interstitial...: Lung disease? So many variables. His overall health? Severity of the ild? The cause? Is he a smoker? Really can't say here. Please talk w his doc's (w his permission). And don't be afraid to talk w your father. Sometimes parents try to protect their children & are afraid to discuss things openly (& vice versa). This can cause a profound sense of isolation. Seek out emotional support.
