What do you suggest if my father called me and said my grandma's lips are turning blue, and he took her to the hospital. do you know what's wrong?

Dr. Joel Ross answered

Often serious: blue lips are often a sign of insufficient oxygen in the blood. There a a myriad of such causes from lung disorders, cardiac conditions or even low blood pressure. The blue if often called "cyanosis' (condition of "blue") and it often needs immediate hospital attention. The necessary tests will be done in any qualified hospital to determine cause and effective treatments.
