Need more info: Various conditions, some normal some pathologic can cause discoloration of the "gum" tissues. Blue -grey spots are frequently a result of a fleck of amalgam filling material getting embedded in the tissues. Even though you indicate no dental work in the area, it would be best to visit your dentist to have it more carefully evaluated.
