Naproxen Chronic: Long term naproxen needs to be moniroted for side effects, especially kidney function. Some people take it for years. But naproxen can be stopped and no need to taper. It is stopped routinely "cold turkey" if one is to have surery to prevent petential bleeding. In your case if yu are doing well it might be a good idea to stop and see if it is still needed.
