Excess uric acid: Uric acid is a by-product of purine nucleotides(your dna--genetic material) breakdown. Everyone forms uric acid from the natural recycling of body cells, but some form more than others, still some get rid of it faster (via urine) than others. High uric acid can clump and form crystal (like pieces of glasses) depositing in the joint causing painful goutty attacks. Consult doc. Good luck.

Excess uric acid: That deposits in a joint. Either too much uric acid is being produced or it is not excreted fast enough. Certain food that are high in purines such as shell fish, nuts, sardines and beer/wine can precipitate an attack in someone who has gout.

Uric acid regulation: Gout is classified as either overproduction or underexcretion of uric acid. The increased levels can cause swelling and inflammation resulting from uric acid crystallization. Long term, the uric acid crystals can accumulate in joints cause deformities and erosions. It is quite painful. It needs to be properly evaluated clinically as well as by bloodwork and radiographs.

Uric acid urate crys: Uric acid levels can lead to urate crystals precipitation in the tissue and joints and can lead to the joint attacks of gout. The urate crystals accumulate in the joint, the body sends in inflammatory cells to remove the urate crystals and this leads to the gout attacks. Treating gout includes stopping this inflammation and lowering the level of uric acid in blood which lead to urate crystals.

High Uric Acid: High levels of uric acid in the blood. High uric acid levels 'hyperuricemia' don't always cause symptoms, however when these levels cause crystals to develop and sit in a joint (often the big toe joint), this causes an acute gout episode. Alcohol, red meat, shellfish, certain medications, among other things, may all increase risk. Diagnosis based on removing joint fluid and looking for crystals.

Gout.: Gout comes from a problem with the body's handling of uric acid, leading to uric acid crystals accumulating in the fluid within joints. The body's inflammatory response to these crystals results in episodes of severe pain in the joints involved. Usually starts with a first episode at the base of the big toe; subsequent bouts can occur in other joints.
