Control carbs: The more carbohydrates you eat, the more Insulin it takes to control your sugar levels. The more Insulin you take, the hungrier you feel. Try limiting carbs to 1-2 exchanges/meal (15-30 gm) and select from whole grains, fresh fruits, starchy vegetables, and beans. These have good levels of fiber and other nutrients including vitamins and minerals.
