Pain/Redness: There is a wide range of symptoms, including pain, redness over the area, development of an abscess or a draining wound, fevers, chills or possibly none of these. There is blood work that can be collected that can be suggestive of an infection but the only sure way to know is to get a biopsy and collect cultures from the bone itself.
