I have hoshimitos disease is there anyway to stop my immune system from attacking my thyroid besides taking medication?

Not really: This is the most common cause of hypothyroidism, occurring predominantly but not exclusively in women. Replacement of thyroid hormone with oral medications is the best way of management.

No: It's an autoimmune thyroid disease. You have to let it run its course. As long as you take your pill as directed and follow your lab regularly, you shouldn't have any problems. It's a very common disease.
