Depends: Whey protein is dairy based so if you are lactose intolerant it can cause bloating and no real change. Protein supplements can help to increase muscle mass when building. Choices are chia, maca, pea, whey, hemp (gluten), brown rice. Aim for at least 0.5gram/pound with lots of water. Eat every 3hours, protein, exercise and also add Amino Acids to help build muscle.
