I have significant hip pain and am on pain medication. how can i determine whether i have bursitis, arthritis or thrombosis? should i be exercising?

Time 2 see doc again: A thorough physical exam is a must, along with some imaging study may help determine which condition is affecting you. Thrombosis is not likely, but injury to the vessel supplying blood to the head of femur (ball of the joint) can cause avascular necrosis and thus degeneration and pain, or even a chronic fracture, or tissue tear(labral tear). Consult doc for care. Good luck.
