Yes: Yes definitely. It's difficult to tell without an exam, but your gum disease and toothache may or may not be related. Gum soreness related to a toothache is usually due to an abscess which drains out of the tooth and then the pus or drainage finds it's way out through the gums. Also called a fistula, sinus tract, or "gum boil." get a thorough dental exam to find out what's going on.
