It depends.: If the condition is being treated by your dentist, a few weeks. If you are not being treated with any medication or dental care, it may take longer or never really heal properly.

Varies: Once the infected tooth is removed, healing can start immediately. For the hole to fill in completely, it can take several months whether the tooth was infected or not.
