Need more info: What you describe is common. A mildly dilated left ventricle caused by many things. It can also occur normally in athletes. Some other causes include high blood pressure, heart failure, valve disease, blocked arteries. Mild tricuspid regurge is also common and often of no concern. It can be a sign of high blood pressure in the lungs however. Your friend's doctor is the best source of answers.
