More surgical skill: Plastic surgeons have extra surgical training and are experts in tissue manipulation, precise techniques, fine suture utilization, and wound/healing optimization that other non-surgical specialists simply don't have. Cosmetic: To make the scar less visible. If you don't care how they look after removal, see a dermatologist or family doctor as they will probably be covered by your insurance. :).
