I have a brown mole above my upper lip just off centre. plastic surgeon advised against removal as will scar & my lip will shrink on one side?

Maybe: The size of the mole will make a big difference in how the surgery is done. If the mole is flat it can sometimes be removed with a laser without scarring. If it is elevated and excision would have to be done. Really good surgeons could remove it and move tissue or flap to keep the lip looking normal. The treatment with a fraxel co2 laser could get rid of most of the scarring. Expensive.
