Probable colic: Colic starts in first few weeks of life. The cause is unknown but thought to be GI immaturity, allergy, and neuropsychological disorders. "tincture of time" appears to be the best treatment. Symptoms resolve sponteously at 3-4 months. Other treatments include hypoallergenic formula (formula-fed babies), low-allergen maternal diet, and decreased infant stimulation.

Workup and Mgt: I agree that this may be reflux, but your GI specialist may suggest an imaging study to rule out other causes. Feeding small amounts frequently and feeding at an angle is used as part of anti- reflux management.
