Needs a biopsy: Although this is most likely a benign lesion called a "dermatofibroma", the lump should be entirely removed. Your dermatologist will probably refer you to a surgeon to have this done, because the lump is large. The procedure can most likely be done with local anesthesia (similar to novocaine) in the surgeon's office.
