A member asked:

Hello doc, i undergo a breast surgery last week and the result is benign. i was curious when i touch the the skin of the removed lump, it is quite hard. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

An "excisional biopsy" of suspicious breast mass will compromise blood supply to the affected area, causing longer term swelling in the area of the biopsy, which should resolve slowly over time.
