First step: You're motivated - that's the important first step. Log on to www.Caloriecount.Com, open a free account, determine your caloric needs and start reading their info and blogs. Try to do some physical workout daily-walking 15 minutes is a good starter. Set realistic goals - 1-2 years to lose significant weight. Don't binge. Take 1 day at a time. Forgive yourself if you transgress and get back to it.

Are you on med ?: It is very important that you are taking your thyroid medication. As for your weight, it may not have to anything with being overweight. Manage your weight with reducing the intake of sugar/products, drink plenty of water, increase fiber intake, use unsaturated oils and lean meat, sleep well and stay away from stressful events which you can avoid. Stop worrying & start working towards good health.
