Yes.: If pt. Is having the stroke in less than 4.5 hrs after confirming it is an ischemic , pt. May get fibrinolytics such as tpa (alteplase) or similar ro dissolve the clot so pt. May recove. An hemorrhagic stroke may worsen if fibrinolytics or anti platelets like Aspirin or the like are given. The decision is always risky to make. Numbness alone may be just a neuropathy or other neurological dis. Like m.S.
