Many possibilities: There are many possibilities. Repetitive patterned events like throat clearing could be something as simple as a transient tic, that may arise after a simple URI where throat clearing was a natural response to drainage.These typically last a few months & fade. It could also be an early symptom of a quite variable problem called tourette syndrome.Discuss with kids dr the next time you go in.
